Welcome to all the students and parents at New Beginning Preschool, Music for Families and those with Newton Center after school programming here at First Baptist. It is great to have you involved on the church campus. We pray that the start of a new school year marks a “new beginning” in your lives that leads to deeper joy and fulfillment in the months to come. This time of year always brings a new flurry of activity to First Baptist.
Since the activity is increased, please be especially careful and watchful as you drive in and out of the parking lot or around the building. Children, at times, do find a way into the wrong places at the wrong time. Parents and Nannies, please be cautious with your children and keep them close by you and out of danger. They often want to play “hide and seek” games, but the parking lot is not a safe place for any games. Help us to provide the safest possible conditions for all the children.
Not all the “new beginnings” around here relate to those in school programs. We also have some who are newly attending newcomers. There’s room for you, so, if you don’t have a church home, please come and worship with us on Sunday morning at 10 am. We are “family friendly” in our worship time. Children participate in the worship service and singing until the sermon time. At that time parents either keep their children with them or allow them to attend “children’s church” where they are involved in age appropriate learning activities in a safe and fun environment.
Beginning September 14th, we kick off a new 4 week Bible Study series for youth and adults: “How do we KNOW the Bible is TRUE?”. Pastor Rick will lead this study each Tuesday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 in the classroom off the breezeway. You are invited! Come and find out more about the Bible and some of the history concerning it.

Lets Celebrate!!
Let's celebrate and have a great potluck lunch! Immediately after the worship service Sunday September 5, we will celebrate Pastor Rick and Connie's 14th anniversary and Pastor Jose and Vilma's 2nd anniversary with us as our pastors.
